We were on a walk that took us through Swanage, a pretty and genteel seaside town, when completely by chance we happened upon the Folk Festival. It's been running every autumn since 1992 and spans a whole weekend. There really is lots to see and do and is well worth a visit.
Completely unprepared for this, as laden down with rucksacks and muddy boots, we contended ourselves with watching the tens of different dancing troupes that filled the streets. It was an amazing sight and great fun and I hope our photos do it some justice.
